CCSJC High School Ministry

First of all, I apologize for not updating the blog recently. With no internet access at home and only being at the church two days a week where there is internet access, it's hard for me to update anything that I do online. I know there are plenty of places with free Wi-Fi, but I have yet to discipline myself to go some place and sit down for a couple of hours. You guys know me, I would rather surf, train, or if my wife is home, hang with her rather than sit in some place on the internet for hours. No, I have nothing against people who enjoy doing that, I just would rather be outside personally. Anyway, as you know, July was a busy month and it looks like August might be the same way. But it's okay, being busy is a good thing and along with that, we have one last big even coming up before school starts.
On August 16th, we are heading to Six Flags Magic Mountain! I'm excited, yet nervous at the same time. I'm the kid that used to be terrified of roller coasters, and I'm not talking about the big ones. I still remember the day when my mom took me to Disneyland and I literally ran out of the line of Thunder Mountain, crying (no joke) and scared out of my chonies. The small drop in Pirates of the Caribbean was too much for me for years, and there was no way you were getting me on Space Mountain. Years later, after many years of being ridiculed by friends and finally being forced on Goliath, my perspective has changed and my fear of crazy, bowel exploding, fire spitting roller coasters is gone...but I still get nervous. I hope you guys can make it!! Admission is $24 and if you can, pay in cash, it will be easier for Maria who is getting the tickets!
